West Lebanon, Ind - Thomas B. Crone, 47, of West Lebanon Route 1, Warren County Juvenile Probation Officer, was dead-on-arrival at the Williamsport Community Hospital at 12:56 a.m. Thursday (June 7, 1973). He had a heart condition for the past nine months. Born Nov. 24, 1926, in Steuben Township in Warren County, he was the son of Clarke T. and Katheryn Pyle Crone. He had resided on the farm where he was born all his life. He was married to Helen Snyder Dec. 31, 1947, in West Lebanon, who survives. Mrs. Crone is a home economics teacher at Seeger Memorial High. He graduated from the West Lebanon High in 1944 and attended Purdue University. He had farmed all his life besides being probation officer. He has been in Boy Scout work 19 years, was past scoutmaster of Troop 44 of West Lebanon and was presently serving as district commissioner of the Harrison Trails Council. He also has taken several scouts on trips to Ely, Minn. He was a World War II veteran, having served in the Air Force. He was a member of the Trinity United Presbyterian Church of West Lebanon. Survivors also include two sons, Timothy, a student at Purdue University, and Ben at home; a daughter, Eve, a student at Ball State University; his father and step mother, Mr. and Mrs. Clarke T. Crone of Apache Junction, Ariz.; a sister, Mrs. Mary Anna Roland of Danvury, Conn.; and a step brother, Wayne Whitten of Apache Junction. Private services for the family will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Fisher Funeral Home, with the Rev. William Thompson officiating. Public graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at the West Lebanon Cemetery. Friends will be received from 6-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral (home). The family has requested any memorials be in the form of contributions to the Christian Church Memorial Fund.

He was pronounced dead on arrival Thursday (June 7, 1973) at Williamsport Community Hospital. He had a heart condition for the past nine months. The Rev. William Thompson will officiate. Public graveside rites will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at West Lebanon Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 6-9 p.m. Friday. The family has requested any memorials be in the form of donations to the Heart Fund.
